Father Minh has one of the best Asian restaurants on the entire Palouse. Both the food and service are awesome (some serious heat if you like some spice in your life!). The Hunan chicken is my personal favorite.
So, this review is a tad bit bias because I've known Minh since Pullman High School, class of '82. He was the prior owner of the Oriental Restaurant and has been a Pullman restaurateur for over 41 years!! Please read on. The decor and seating is unpretentious and homey, and the original bakery case from when this place was Daylight Donuts is still there ! Minh's wife is the chef and she cooks up a truly wide array of delicious Asian dishes and also dabbles with non-Asian dishes like Indian and African curries. They're also really delicious!! We usually get noodle dishes with chicken or Thai curry, and they make an amazing beef lime salad,. A signature lunch dish. The portions are large and prices are very reasonable. When in Pullman do stop by, you'll be happy you did !! And do say Hello to Minh, he's a great guy excellent restauranteur and wonderful friend! I'm sure you'll like his food.
Friendly owners and big portions for pretty good prices! The Napoleon tofu is excellent and fair few vegan options on the menu. Pad Thai with tofu wasn't the best I've ever had but was pretty good. Good WiFi too
I know this establishment primarily serves Asian food, but WOW do their Indian dishes taste good as well. Although their Indian dishes have a slight Asian taste to them, it is still very delicious. I look forward to trying out their Asian food in the future, but, by what I have experienced, their food has been enjoyable. Although they do give large portions of food, I think the price of their dishes can be slightly expensive. If you want to try something that is off menu and an Indian dish, I recommend their chili paneer! So good!
This has been a favorite of our family's for 12 years now. I am very sad that Mihn is no longer with us because he was an amazing human. I hope the recipes and business live on. The food is always good and you get a large portion for the price.
